The P-List contains factory defects and the G-List contains defects that appear during use. If the G-List becomes saturated, the disk becomes unstable. Manipulating these lists without technical knowledge, such as deleting them to 'repair' the drive, can cause data stored in reassigned sectors to be lost forever.
